We greet you from Indiana with John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only Begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” May the Lord bless and keep you in His loving care during this Christmas and New Year Season, and may He use you in great and mighty ways to share the Gospel with the lost. 

As promised in our last update in July, we did return back to the States near the end of August. We had some church updates on the east coast and some doctor appointments during August through September. We will travel the Midwest for our church visits in Michigan, Indiana, Kentucky, and Iowa from the end of September until late January. 

Since our return, we have been very busy. We knew we were going to be. We scheduled it in order to be able to report to all our supporting churches on their preferred Sunday morning, visit personally with supporters, family, friends, celebrate the holidays, love on our grandchildren, and all before our 2026 March EBF mission’s conference. However, as is usually the case, we must experience something in order to understand how exhausting this can be - the rewarding, strengthening and encouraging type of exhaustion! We do look forward to spending time with our family through the holidays. We also wish you all the best of God’s grace and mercy during your celebrations of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. 

Just prior to our departure from Romania, we were blessed to be taken to lunch, after our last Romanian Sunday service, by Florin, and a current convert, Ilie (the other baptized believer from our village). Florin was one of our first students from 1999. He insisted on treating us and Ilie. What a blessing to see him pour into the lives of recent converts and show his gratitude of what God has done for him. While at lunch with him, another previous student of ours approached us and introduced his girlfriend.  He showed great respect and expressed a desire to keep in contact. 

It is our hope he has continued to remember the Biblical truths we taught. Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my Word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” 

It had been at least 10 years since we had seen this previous student. What a blessing to see and hear them express God’s gracious working in their lives! His desire to continue to keep contact was a great encouragement to us that God isn’t finished with using us in Romania! We are blessed and honored to be used by God to sow, occasionally water the seed that someday will be reaped by our Father. We ask you to continue to pray with us that God will bring the increase for His glory. 

February will take us back to North Carolina for a few more follow up medical visits. March to Indiana for our EBF Mission’s conference, and April 1 back to Romania, Lord willing!! 

We appreciate your prayers for our travel needs, safety, and schedules. Please continue to pray for our young adults, families, and their children in Romania (about 15 couples and numerous singles). We continue to write, talk, and message them while we are here in the US. Please also pray for the churches we work in and through and mostly for the Gospel to continue to be preached and souls won to the Lord!!
