We were a bit nervous about everything. Our hope was that our church would also shine and be a light in the community and catch the mission here in the village. We were not disappointed. Everyone felt comfortable and very happy with the temporary arrangements we had made. We had a make-shift kitchen so they could have a place to make mamaliga with cascaval and lapte (unbaked cornbread with strong sheep's cheese with milk) a Romanian dish. It is really quite good
The conference room is finished and two of the cabins. As you can see here, we had a wonderful time of fellowshi. We sang songs, had a Bible study, and prayed together. We even had a chance to let the light of the church shine upon Lenuta, Jody's Bible reading mission. .
We were greatly encouraged with this first retreat. We believe it was an encouragement to the church as well. Some of you Wii players will notice that we even got a little bowling in.
Thanks to all who have taken part and sent funds for the construction of this small retreat center (camp). We are just beginning and hope that we will have many more pictures, videos and stories that will show that this little place in Romania is a light for Christ in the community and in the hearts of all that visit.
