December Report

Merry Christmas to you all! From all us Fryes here in Romania, we want to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! May God richly bless you all during this very special holiday season by granting you peace, health and most of all, a closer walk with our Saviour!

We wanted to include a few pictures of the Christmas play practice. We practiced weekly with the kids until the week before the program, and then we were in Ghijasa de Jos, almost every day that week. It was a wonderful opportunity for us to share the true meaning of Christmas through the play. We had 16 kids from Ghijasa de Jos in the play, as well as, a few adults from different churches.
These kids heard the Biblical account of the Christmas story every time they practiced the play.
The kids worked really hard at memorizing their lines and we were very proud of them all. If you would like to see the video of the play, please click onto the link videos, on the right side.

Jody worked with the kids memorizing their lines, knowing where to stand on the stage, costumes, and props.

Robert and William designed and manufactured all the sets, made some of the props, set up and arranged all the lights and sound.
The Lord truly blessed by allowing us to gain permission to perform the play in 3 different villages, Nochrich, Ghijasa de Jos, and Ighisu Vechi. Over 260 people attended the play in the three different villages. The play was performed at the city civic center in each village and was free to the public. Jody also provided cakes, fruit and cookies in Ghijasa de Jos, and Ighisu Vechi. We are truly thankful for our Romanian brothers and sisters in Christ who came alongside and helped throughout the performance, including serving, filming, set up, tear down, and even acting in the play itself. The narration was actually Bible verses read from the Romanian Bible. After each performance, one of our Romanian pastors gave a message about the true meaning of Christmas and the importance of giving our lives to Jesus. May God bless His words, and we know that His promise reigns true. His Word will never go out void. May He continue to work in the hearts of the people of these villages, that they may come to know Jesus as their personal Saviour!
