March 2021-November 2021
Ladies camp at Windsor's Fair Haven in Ighisu Vechi 2021 for single missionary ladies. Many other locations were closed and it was such an encouraging time of fellowship and worship. Two other camps were also completed with Little Explorers and other church groups. Robert provides a cost free place in Ighisu Vechi at our camp, all the logistics, cleaning, grounds management, and also shares in the teaching, which is one of his favorite responsibilities!!
Robert started and completed the back stairway from the upper section rooms above the dining hall-a necessary exit for fire and safety purposes.
Robert, Jody and Randy keep in touch virtually throughout the summer, as they remain miles away.
In the meantime, Jody was very busy trying to find treatment for Randy's knee problems. By this time, Randy was mostly in a wheelchair. Jody was able to find one at a local thrift store for only $5.00. After much driving, research, and five different orthopedic surgeon appointments, God directed her to the one that was willing to do the imaging and finally surgery to repair Randy's knee. In June, Randy had surgery to repair a synovial pleca. He had a severe systemic inflammatory response after a poorly executed physical therapy session, which led to 4 different specialists' appointments to check for life threatening inflammatory kidney or heart issues. After 2 days, the symptoms and blood tests showed he was cleared, praise the Lord!! So recovery for 4 weeks and then clearance for he and Jody to go spend 2 months with Robert in Romania!!

Lastly, our last camp of the season before returning was another camp with Little Explorers. They had an advanced leadership training camp for over a week. They also encourage us in our church planting efforts in Ighisu at Windsor's Fair Haven by holding church services with us on Sundays. We were able to invite several of our local neighbors, and a few came. Please continue to pray for this work.
We all returned to the states at the end of September 2021 to Morehead City, North Carolina, where it is medically necessary for us to home base from for Randy's needs. In September and October, we traveled to Indiana and Michigan to update those local churches on our most recent travel and ministry work. We returned to North Carolina at the end of October with plans to winter here, complete Randy's orthodontic and medical treatments, and receive medical clearance for Randy to return with both of us in late spring 2022 for 1-2 years. We believe God is calling us to continue the camp ministry especially during these dark days. More than ever, people need the hope of Christ that only the Gospel can give.
