 May 2023

Greetings from Jeremiah 29:11 " For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

It has been such a joy to be together in serving the Lord again as a family for the last year in Romania. God has blessed with opening doors to neighbors, students, and churches to continue to share the Gospel.

In April, we returned to the US for a planned brief stay for Randy’s medical needs in North Carolina. Over the month, he completed necessary medical tests with over 15 of his specialists and received a 2 year's clearance for travel. Praise the Lord!! Continued monitoring of cardiac effects from the original compression and brain cysts are the main concerns. Everything appeared stable, so plans were to return as a family on May 16.

However, Jody has another surgery in August. She  had a consultation in May and this decision was made. This decision affected original plans, so she and Randy will be staying in North Carolina, due to the high cost of additional airfare tickets. They were able to get travel credits to fly back after she is cleared. Additional airfare tickets for Robert were necessary.

Robert returned to Romania May 27 to continue working on the camp, teaching at the churches, discipling students, and encouraging our young couples with children. There is much work still to do during this year of necessary camp renovations so we can open back up next year.

We are still in need of funding for the camp bath house. Robert and Tuader, our full-time employee have completely disassembled the former men's and women's bathrooms and showers, and completed pouring the foundation and are working on the drainage. They also installed a new septic tank. We know that God is faithful and will provide for His work, so we continue in faith, trusting Him.

Robert plans to return to North Carolina a week before Jody’s surgery in August, and stay for a month until her restrictions are lifted and then he will return to Romania. Jody and Randy plan to return as soon as she is cleared. Jody won’t be able to travel much outside of North Carolina, since our only transportation is our Dad’s old truck, but we are so very thankful for that. It is great for her and Randy to be able to drive around Morehead City.

Jody will continue tutoring virtually as her students’ schedules allow, while she is in the States, and staying in contact with the young people.

Please pray for the churches in Romania, for Robert and Tuader as they work, and for the time they will be ministering on different sides of the globe.

May the Lord bless you all as you continue to serve our Father.

Trusting Him,

Robert, Jody, and Randy Frye
